Bell Not Expected to Report by Deadline

Have not read every response on here, if he does not show I don’t care. My thoughts are if the Steelers keep it together the rest of the season and finish with #7. Bell, looking for his pay day, is left out of the ultimate goal of most professional FB players, the ring. To me that is sweet justice, for all the BS, everyone has focused on him during the season.Comment

Management must know more about it then us if they apply it. I"m going to trust Colbert in knowing what he's doing if he decides to apply the tag. He wouldn't do it unless we were getting something out of it.Comment

to be honest, im not sure that he doesnt need to sign by tomorrow to receive FA credit.
it changes daily depending on who is regurgitating the latest BS on this subject
i wouldnt be surprised if this gets appealed either from the owners or players
all i know is i hope he doesnt show up.steelers = 3 ring circus with tomlin being the head clownComment

I guess this is where I'm at as well. We've heard differing stories from the media. I'm going to trust that Colbert, who has shown himself to be a savvy businessman, will know what to do far better than some broadcaster or blogger. It seems to me that the Steelers have played this well from "go" and I think that they'll continue to do so.Comment

One could also argue the Steelers made a mistake of offering Apostrophe Bell too much and we were just fortunate he didn't take it.I guess this is where I'm at as well. I don't think it was a mistake at all. The team operated from a place of generosity toward one of it's own players who was a known producer and who had announced his intention to stay with the team. The sticking point was apparently the guaranteed money, which they were wise to keep to a minimum.Comment
