    The Apostrophe in Le'Veon's Name

Just curious, why is there an Apostrophe in Le'Veon's name?

Doesn't that indicate there are some letters missing? Which letters have been left out of his name?

Perhaps the apostrophe stands for "t'smo". ie. Let's Move On

I can't come up with any other phrases or words that fit the apostrophe.

    What you got?

I think when the discussion surrounding Bell has disintegrated to the point of analyzing the inclusion of an apostrophe in the spelling of his first name, I'd say that "Let's Move On" is indeed the proper sentiment.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I think it's the fact that I keep reading his name so many times and every time I wonder why the apostrophe.

It makes my mind go in 100 directions.

Maybe Le'Veon wanted to sign up as a poster here, but couldn't because the site couldn't handle his apostrophe.

Maybe he tried to get a flight to Pittsburgh from Miami, but he couldn't because the online reservation system couldn't recognize the apostrophe and since his name didn't match his license/passport, he couldn't board a flight.

I've kept this bottled up too long. I keep thinking about it every time I read his name. And now it seems worth discussing vs rehashing the same discussion about Le'Veon over and over.

If he really wanted to stand out, he should change each "e" in his name to a schwa.

Friend of mine's mom worked in a delivery ward at a hospital. One lady knew she was having a boy, but no name yet because "it will just come to me."

His name at birth? Nosmo King. No kidding Nosmo King.

Sign above the door she was facing at the time of birth? No Smoking.

Dude could have used an apostrophe. Or aleast a m'om who wasn't re'tarded.
