On Paper, The Ravens Should Crush Us

Of course, 3 games don't make a season. But if current trends continue, the Ravens are going to blow us out tonight.

Ravens are putting up 32.3 pts/gm and Steelers are giving up 30. Seems like a matchup made in heaven for the Ravens.

    Baltimore's D is giving up a league leading 17 pts/gm.

And even if we can somehow stay in the game, Baltimore has the best kicker in the league and we have the biggest headcase right now.

But I doubt it will be close, Baltimore can't be stopped in the red zone. Our D is a wreck and I don't see that changing tonight.

The only chance we have is if our O puts up 40-50 pts. And if we put too much pressure on our QB (the league leading turnover machine), he's likely going to give the ball away a few extra times and probably assist in adding some points on the board for the Ravens.

The only silver lining is in this rivalry, sometimes the team that sucks wins. That's our only hope for today.

    What's your prediction?

    I'm going with:

    Rats: 47
    Steelers: 23

Thats why stats don't mean shlt.
People keep saying we had the 5th ranked passing defense last year, but anyone who watched ALL the games knew our defense constantly gave up big plays vs. the pass

ravens played buffalo at home. that is skewing the numbers.

the thing I don't like about this game is we're coming off a short week while the ravens last played 10 days ago

Since you are so sure of the outcome you should hit the sack early. Why bother watching

                          That seems a little silly/melodramatic.

Not sure of the score - but I predict 9 steeler penalties and 5 overall roughing calls.
