if bell didnt overwhelmingly have as many touches

    as the majority of rbs.................

    he would average:
    800 yards rushing,400 yards receiving, and 6 tds.....per season
this is based on people, bell and his agent that claim he is being overused(by 25%)........and people want to reduce his workload and pay him 17+ ?

He's not worth 17 mil / year. You are only worth what people are willing to pay.

Bell is worth 19 million guaranteed (Per MJD) over a long term contract or 15 mil for one year (i.e. franchise tag).

People can say he's worth more but that doesn't mean a damn thing.

I've said it before and I'll say it again ... It's no different than the house market.

Zillow or a home appraisal might indicate that your home is worth 300K. That's great and all but if the highest offer you get to purchase your home is 250K then that is all it's worth. It's only worth what people are willing to pay.

I wouldn't expect a few board members here to understand that since they are probably 40 years old living in mommy and daddy's basement.

Did Maurice Jones-Drew buy an NFL franchise and I just missed it?

None of us know his true worth until he hits the open market and teams are able to make their pitches to him. It only take one team to make some outlandish offer to him, and then all of the sudden, that is what he is worth to that particular team.

We know what the Steeler F.O. thinks he's worth, but Bell thinks he's worth more, and believes that other teams will think he's worth more as well. Wait and see what happens.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

                    wtf.

Why would you wish harm on a player like that?

                    Geez. It’s just a game.

I can see hoping he fails but damn man... y’all are touched in the head when you say stuff like this.

I don't even wish injury on Tom #&@%ing Brady.

The only player I wish injury on is Vontaze Burfict, since he is a scumbag whose role is basically to just try to intentionally injure other players.

If the owners are serious about protecting the safety of other players, they should not let Burfict back from his current suspension.

I certainly wouldn't cry if he blows out his knee in his first game in week 5 vs. Miami next weekend, just so I don't have to worry about his punk@$$ cheap shotting any of our players and ending their seasons when we play Cincy in week 6.

I think its a complicated question to see what he would have had with fewer carries. It's probably not reasonable to just take the Bell's YPC and multiply by whatever an average number of carries is.

I think if the extra carries he's getting come when everyone knows that we're running, we'd expect his results to be worse than average.

Maybe to do this kind of projection well, you'd need to look at what an average number of carries / game was and find our what his yardage would be if he had that many carries per game.

Or maybe you'd have to look at all RBs and find out how many carries they had in certain situations (down and distance, men in the box, base vs. nickle vs. dime). Then, you could see Bell's average results in each situation type and project totals that way.

While his totals would undoubtedly fall, his YPC might be higher with fewer carries.

Yes, he only has one offerer this year which means he's only worth what that one offerer is willing to pay.

Next year is a different story the potential customer pool has increased.
