Who's Ready To See the Steeers on Hard Knocks

I've always thought the most interestig teams to see on Hard Knocks would be the Pats and the Steelers.

Seeing Bill B operate would be can't miss tv.

Seeing Mike Tomlinisms would be equally entertaining.

I've always wanted to see the Steelers more because I'm a little obsessed like the rest of us. But given the seeming dysfunction abound right now, I'd love to see what's really happening behind closed doors.

I always thought the Steelers were too good for Hard Knocks and we rightfully passed on doing it because we didn't want to let out our secret sauce for all to see.

But now, I don't think we're all that different from the Browns or the Bungles. Would be interesting to see some of these guys forget the cameras were there and see who they really are.

When the cameras are on, I don't think you get to see what's REALLY happening behind closed doors. It would be entertaining nevertheless.

Well, they have more drama than any other team at the moment. That normally results in good TV ratings.

NFL owners passed a resolution in 2013 stating that teams can avoid mandatory inclusion on Hard Knocks if they fall under any of three exemptions:

        1) They have a first-year head coach in place
        2) They have a playoff berth in the past two seasons
        3) They have appeared on Hard Knocks in the past 10 years

Because of stipulation #2, the Steelers cannot be forced to be on Hard Knocks by the league. And they will never voluntarily sign up for it. So it ain't happening. Sorry.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

We might qualify after next year.

We will miss the playoffs this year and next if the overpaid janitor continues what he is doing (i.e nothing).

Then, assuming the spineless Rooney's dont send Tomlin packing, the NFL might just have us on Hard Knocks.

We are currently one game under .500 two games into the season, and you already have us missing the playoffs for the next two years straight. No overreaction whatsoever.

#2 sucks. I want the behind the scene story, but not at the expense of missing the playoffs for 2 years.

If we did miss the playoffs for 2 years, do you think they'd force us to do it given the popularity of the Steelers?

Or would Rooney fire Tomlin so that rule #1 saved us from being on the show?

I don't want the Steelers anywhere near that dumpster fire. Good grief!

LOL. Yes, I think the NFL would be all over forcing the Steelers to do it, especially given how big the fan base is.

If we had two seasons like 5-11, I also wouldn't be overly surprised if Tomlin was fired, especially given that he's already been here for 12 years. That would be a 14 year run.

May I ask you respectfully to please stop using a term that has been understandably considered a racist one?

I feel badly being on a board where that kind of language is considered OK to use. It's not just four-letter words that are bad, IMO.

To be clear, I'm not making any comments regarding why you might want to use such a term - just asking if you would please refrain from using it.

Thank you for your consideration -

the steelers, pats or packers would be a hard knocks ratings gold mine. If any of those teams meet the conditions - take it to the bank, they're on HBO.

No..........I've made myself clear that it's allowed and it's not negotiable. I'm not going over it again. Look back at the pages worth of previous posts for my view on it if you feel so inclined

I'm not getting into this again with people. Everyone has a choice. Ignore it, laugh at it, cry over it, leave over it .... Do what ya gotta do or I'll do what I gotta do.
