Do we have the talent on D to beat good teams?

I mean, let's just pretend the Chiefs are world class unbeatable.

Can we beat run-of-the-mill playoff teams with our D?

I guess we'll find out soon enough, but I'm just kind of wondering if we have the talent.

(And even our good guys, like Tuitt and Hargrave … what happened to them? Oh, and did anyone hear Dupree's name get called today?)

At least twice on offside penalties.

Dupree only makes noise off the field, when he should STFU. As for the talent, we all know the answer whether we like it or not. Haden will help, but only a little. Our problem is that our big-money guys on D aren't that good. Cam is good, just not that good. Tuitt is good too, just not that good and not even as good as Cam. Your highest-paid guy has to be like Von Miller, Khalil Mack, etc.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Well, now we're in a dog fight to even make the playoffs.

Who knows whether we make it, and whether when/if we get there we will be toughened up and go far like we did in that year we were #6 seed.

For now though, it's going to be rough sledding.

I don’t think w have the talent. We need to put up more points to have any shot at being competitive.

I think we have the talent. I don’t think the scheme is good though. Way too predictable.

Maybe our boys don't have the talent to execute anything but a vanilla scheme …

                  not enough playmakers on D...

The secondary is bereft of playmakers. gotta remember even though he couldn't catch a cold...Ike Taylor shut down a side, Polomalu is a future HOF'er and Ryan Clark could lay the lumber.

While I like Haden when he is healthy...the lack of talent in the secondary is killing the Steelers.

Probably wont find out until Mr. Zone Jr is gone.
These players aren't getting it Butler.....21-0 and the defense looked lost...
Turned it off after that, i can't waste my Sunday's and $$$$ watching these fn losers.

Guess I should have made that "43."

Yes, we do....but the same coaching staff is around and we expect different results. Why?

How Butler AND Porter still have a job after last year is mind blowing.

                          Status quo on D.

Terry Bradshaw was spot on a couple of weeks ago when he questioned why the Steelers fired their offensive coordinator and kept their defensive coordinator.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

I think even if we fired Butler today, and got some really good DC … if we had the same players on D, we'd still be toasted on D all season long.
