Instead they got within his range - took no notice of the elements (it seemed to me) and said close enough. I understand with the poor performance of ben, turnovers etc it might seem prudent to just take the 42 yarder and hope Boz saves your bacon - but honestly, how many of us were watching that and thinking this has a good chance of missing? how many of us were really shocked that he missed in those conditions? To me that's the indicator we should have tried harder for another 10 yards.
I was shocked. He hasn’t missed a game winner in a long time.

Like many I had a strong feeling Boz would miss that kick. If you watched all his PAT’s he was just getting them inside the left upright. That was from 33 yards, add another 10 or so and what do you get a pull shot to the left. They needed to push upfield for more yards. Clock was not an issue.

Love how Ben haters come out after loss....I mean a freaking tie.
        Agreed....
The two too Brown looked like they were not on same page for the play call...hmm not enough practice together...
Jesse James had the tipped ball that was on him not Ben....
Ben didn't have a good game but, he had some good moments in the game that i liked....
Coaches job to have a team ready to play...I saw a team only 50% ready to play....

Well I saw a turnover machine name Ben. It's funny that Ben could have 5turnovers , get outplayed by Taylor and people will still find a reason to blame the coach. Nobody out there looked liked like they were not prepared except one person. Throwing into triple coverage and you trying to defend that by saying him and Brown was not on the same page is laughable.

I think the weather was a huge factor in this game, it favored the Browns because of the way Taylor plays. Lets face it, without Taylor's scrambling ability they weren't going to be able to move the ball at all. Even with the 3 first half TO's we still had a 21-7 lead with 8 minutes left in the 4th with the ball.

Ben is the best bad weather Qb of this era even Arians made that statement, so it favored the Steelers. Bad play by the Qb

It was bad play by Ben, but I think with the weather Taylor's scrambling was able to keep them out of trouble. Ben on the other hand was holding that wet ball way to long in a collapsing pocket and couldn't get out to really see the field and make smart throws.

                    Taylor outplayed Ben?

With his 4.9 YpA and his 37.5 completion %?

He didn’t take any chances and that was what allowed us to maintain a tie in the face of 6 turnovers and piss poor officiating...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

That's what I don't understand. How does a 15 year veteran QB not realize that he cannot hold on to the ball that long? Especially given how things were going all game long.

                      Really frustrating game to watch.

Here! Here! SMH at some of these blame the coach, comments. How you going to blame the coach when your 15-year, veteran QB, team leader - still don't know how to prepare himself for game. This is typical Ben, takes him until week 9 find his groove (SMH!) I didn't get to see the game - but 5 turnovers is all I needed to know! And the nerve of people still giving this guy a pass for losing games, while trying to put the blame coach and OC is just downright abysmal. How many OC's have gotten fired because him! Ben needed to retire last year. He is an absolute joke! I'm ready for the J. Dobbs era.
