    Bryant cut by Raiders/ suspension?

Martavis Bryant's short time in Oakland has time to a close, and he is unlikely to see a football field anytime soon.

The wide receiver was released by the Raiders on Saturday and is facing yet another suspension from the league. pending appeal, sources told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Oakland traded the 79th overall pick in the 2018 draft to the Pittsburgh Steelers for Bryant's services and reaped one unproductive offseason and preseason.

Around The NFL will have more on Bryant's situation shortly.

Sad to see such a waste of talent. Could be the end of the line for MB. Teams not going to want to risk signing him.

You'd think there would be some way for the Raiders to make the trade contingent on Martaviousness passing a drug test. Don't they do that with some injuries? Or is everything "as is"?

Looks like the end of the football road for this idiot. Even without the drugs, he was more trouble that he was worth.

Looks like the Raiders whiffed on M.B. Its a good thing they got a boatload of pics for Mack.

Was MB simply cut, or was there a drug suspension in there also? I haven't heard anything about the latter except in this thread.

I believe there is a suspension that he is appealing. between that and his lackluster performance in camp I think they cut bait. Gruden was particularly critical of what he saw.

                        +1 for Colbert & co.

They clearly knew MB had demons he was still struggling with... maybe thought a change in scenery would help. It's a shame ... he had the whole world in front of him.

A lot of teams aren’t going to give MB the chances we gave him. Same with a guy like Josh Gordan. The team that drafts a player will usually give him a ton of chances but everyone else? Produce or cut loose.
