All of a sudden, I"m concerned about our season opener against the Browns.

You can.....Bell doesn't have to show up he isn't under contract. This is what you have to deal with when you use the franchise tag, I don't understand what all of the fuss is about. There is nothing that says Bell had to report today, people are really overreacting.Comment

There is fuss because Bell said mid summer he'd be here.
He's not here so what should people say?
The Steelers have a season to plan for and it has started.
Im not worried that we can't beat the Browns w/o him, but his no show is a distraction.sigpicComment

A major distraction.
If Bell were smart , he’d have shown up , got involved in the game planing and played the good soldier. But he’s chosen to stay out til Wednesday to make a statement about something that has nothing to do with preparing for the Browns.
And if you think some of us are mad, believe me, he has some teammates mad too. He’s going to be the highest paid runningback again for two years straight. Oh what a hardship.

Exactly. at this point Bell's just being the type of "Attitude" that the FO is trying to weed out through the draft. From that perspective... it's better that he didn't sign our deal.Comment

He said he would be back by week 1 abd he will be. He didn,t say he would report on Sept. 3rd.Comment
