What a concept. The coaches are freaking brilliant to implement this revolutionary new concept.

In addition to the LBs changing sides, they must have finally realized that having your 3-4 DEs playing as if they were running a 4-3 isn't a smart decision. So, consequently, switching to a 4-3 might be the better move. BRILLIANT!

I heard Butler and Tomlin were reading "NFL Defenses for Dummies" during the off-season. This must be further proof.
Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.

Even if the coaches put the best defensive schemes together that *perfectly* play to the strengths of the players on the roster, and even if those players execute those game plans *immaculately* ... IMO we still have a glaring weakness - coaching ability to make quick and effective in-game adjustments and decisions.

Maybe someone has some kind of hard stats that prove me wrong, but my gut feeling is that our coaches do really poorly in going to "Plan B" when the initial game plan is shown to be potentially a game loser. Sometimes it's at half time when the other team comes out with a different plan, or sometimes we might even get surprised at the start of a game, but so often it seems like we don't even have a "Plan B" on paper, and sometimes it seems to me like our coaches can't think their way out of a wet paper bag.

Huge coaching skills our coaches definitely have (syntax in honor of Hawaiian Steel!), but the ability to make the right snap decisions at times of extreme pressure doesn't seem to be one of them, IMO.

PS - I typed this out and when I hit send, it just disappeared … if two posts appear showing similar things I apologize, and mods if you could delete one of them please (not the better one, delete the worse one! )

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

IDK- In the last game they played, "Plan A" found them down 21-0. "Plan B" got them within striking distance of victory. Seems to me that they were able to make needed changes.

Yeah, there is that! I think there might have been another one late last year also … maybe things are turning around!

Hahahahaha...I sense your frustration my friend but to be fair, we have to give Tomlin/Butler some credit for trying to do something different instead of coming back with the same old schemes. This is a good thing. A fire is lite under their @ss and they are responding so let's support. Their trying; that's a marked improvement for them.

So true...........and that's the next area of improvement we need to see from Tomlin. He needs to have a plan B & C when plan A isn't working. That's what great coaches have.

Hmmmm..explain that to Gibbs, Knoll and Walsh. They always had a plan B and C when A doesn't work.

How did we go 24-8 the last 2 years and our coaches can't coach?

It's all due to the players?

How did Billicheats plan C work in the SB when he refused to play Butler and watched his DB's get shredded?

Our goal isn't really good W-L records though.

His plan C worked to win against the Eagles and Panthers and Seahawks in the Super Bowl. It didn't work last year thou....

Why has Billicheat gone 8-9 record in Miami?

Why has Cam Newton shredded the Pats D the last 2 times they have played?
