Bell-AGAIN! Oh, I thought this was about Bell. My mistake.

On Bell, though, love the thought of drafting Guice at 28, dumping Bell for a #2 and his $14.5 against the cap, leaving us some cap room to fill those spots on the roster that the draft doesn't fill. Gives us a feature back for the next 5 years at a bargain price and frees up money to make a run now without mortgaging the future.

I think I'd be OK with this, but a trade like that would almost certainly come after the draft (because Bell isn't going to sign before this year's draft). That would make it next years picks.

That means that the cap space we saved doesn't help us this year because there isn't anything to spend it on. If that's the case, I'd rather keep Bell for a run this year and let him walk next year. That probably gives us a better chance to win this year when Ben is still playing.

But if that's the plan, do I draft Guice this year or just go RB early next year...I guess it depends on who else is on the board.

RB next year... this years pick should be used on a position that will help us win a SB THIS year.

RB, OLB, ILB, Safety...the depth at all of those positions is currently iffy, though nominal starters are in place...

If Bell misses times, and odds are that he will, we currently have James Connor who is rehabbing an MCL, Toussaint who is a borderline “on the roster” player, and Ridley who has appeared in 3 games over the last two seasons...if Guice is the BPA, pull the trigger...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

CJ Anderson was just released from the Broncos

What time will Bell miss? Same as last year? I think the FO is fine with that.

I wouldn't mind us taking the best defensive player available in the 1st and grab Michel in the 2nd if possible.

There are at least 3 teams that have Michel on the radar in the second round; and all of them are ahead of us. If we don't get a runningback in the first, then we might as well wait until the 3rd and beyond.

                    According NFLDraftScout's current RB rankings:

                    Round 1:
                    Saquon Barkley

                    Round 1-2:
                    Derrius Guice

                    Round 2:
                    Ronald Jones
                    Kerryon Johnson
                    Sony Michel

                    Round 2-3:
                    Nick Chubb
                    Rashaad Penny

                    Round 3:
                    Nyheim Hines

                    Round 3-4:
                    Jaylen Samuels
                    John Kelly

                    Round 4:
                    Royce Freeman
                    Mark Walton

                    Round 4-5:
                    Josh Adams

                    Round 5:
                    Bo Scarbrough
                    Kalen Ballage
                    Akrum Wadley

                    Round 5-6:
                    Justin Jackson
                    Darrel Williams

                    Round 6:
                    Roc Thomas

                    Round 6-7:
                    Ito Smith

                    Round 7:
                    Kamryn Pettway
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

this is why I can't take you seriously when it comes to LB

it's an absolute no brainer that the coaches and FO want LB in camp as both factions said as much last year. saying otherwise strains credibility to the maximum degree

                        No, this isn't why...

When did I say they didn't want him in camp? You have to read the actual words I'm typing Eddie.

they knew tagging him a second time would lead to the same hold out as last year and they still tagged him. So, obviously they are fine with it.

Do they wish he showed up? Sure.. but obviously it isn't that big of a deal because they are willing to go through the same drama one more year.

you said you believe the FO is fine with him missing camp again and I say that's BS

they have to accept it because that's the way the CBA is written but that's a very different thing than being "fine" with it

both tomlin and Colbert have said he should be there, but here you are saying the opposite

at any rate, it's not worth any time debating you as you have proven that you will say anything to promote LBs agenda

if your cousin makes great wings on the grill but clogs your bathroom every time he comes over... yet you still keep inviting him because you like his wings... obviously you are fine with him clogging your toilet. lol

if they really had a problem with Bell they wouldn't have tagged him. hence, they are fine with it. Fine doesn't mean they are happy about it.

                                SAT question of the year:

The NFL franchise tag is to grilling chicken wings...

as missing training camp is to clogging a toilet...
