    Oh Well

The Killer Bs and McDonald played well. The blocked punt was pretty sweet. And most of all Ben seems to have “it” back.

Unfortunately, our D didn’t come to play. Coaching was questionable. I’m not sure I can buy into any of our coaches at this point and our D system feels as old as the printing press.

But oh well. Hats off to the Jags. They still have our number. And it wasn’t meant to be.

This is was a frustrating team this season. Lots of ups and downs. I probably cursed at this team more than I can remember. Overall they made it entertaining.

Back to the lab again to try and figure out where we go from here. I feel bad for the players and the fans. Putting a whole year into a SuperBowl quest and not even sniffing #7. How does anyone get up for the next run after that major let down?

Oh well. Guess us Pittsburghers have to pin our hopes on the Pens. It’s starting to feel like the Steelers have as much chance of winning a championship as the Buccos these days. It is what it is. We’ll just have to enjoy this team for what it is. A collection of great individuals with coaches that can’t get them to collectively play together to win.

This team is better than any other in the league. And at the same time, they are worse than any other team.

Guess the only only saying that makes any sense to me right now is “If you’re not first, you’re last. “

Oh well. Thanks for entertaining us this season. Thanks for giving us hope that this team is more than it is. At least we got the season high feeling of hope and belief in what was possible. The journey is better than the destination anyway.

Back to to the chase for #7. We’ve just delayed the journey a little.

This Steelers team is a lot closer than many of us may think. Let’s see if they make the right moves in the off-season. (Starting off by not resigning Haley and ditching Mitchell).

Draft defense, still need to get faster in the middle and meaner upfront. I'm super bummed but damn they will be back in the mix next season

Agreed. ILB and S are a necessity in the draft.

There are some pieces missing on the defensive side of the ball... I am not sure if the pieces for next year's run will be acquired in the 2018 draft. The biggest thing we can do to improve next year is retool the coaching staff.
I know Tomlin's not going anywhere... but damn he allowed some bone head decisions to be made yesterday!!!! 2-4th and one calls, onside kick. etc.
