    Let Bell Walk

I wouldn't have said this 24 hours ago. But this team has two or three big holes on defense. The money it will take to keep Bell would go a long way toward filling those holes.

Same here. I'll be honest. I'd rather have a RB like Fournette, especially in the post-season. Perhaps they look for one in the draft? If there is a blue chipper there late in the 1st, it could make Bell expendable and would save us a TON of $ we could use elsewhere.... Just a thought...

Need to get rid of Butler and get a good defensive coordinator. Then put money in defense; not the offense .

Right now Ben is set for $18 million, and Bell's franchise tag would be $15 million according to what I heard on DVE today. Save that $15 mil for elsewhere. Like on D

Bell was tweeting about meeting the Patriots in the AFCC ... before the Jags game. I've called the Jacksonville players "jagoffs," but Bell may have been the biggest "jagoff" this weekend.

bell is a special player - and if the steelers can keep his price within reality they should do everything they can to keep him. That being said, we didn't find him in the first round. RB's are not quite a dime a dozen, but very good RB's are available in every draft and in many rounds. Think of the RB's taken in the last few years that have shown to be superior. The point being - Bell CAN be replaced. I hope he's not, but it's not a 'sky is falling' if he goes somewhere else.

Tag him with the non-exclusive franchise tag...allow him to negotiate with other teams...then, he can have a better idea of his market value...

The Steelers would have the right of first refusal or they would receive two first round draft picks as compensation...

Maybe we could get lucky and Cleveland would sign him...we’d have to play him twice a year, but we would get pick #1 and pick #4 in return...

Id jump all over this...and Cleveland is one of those organizations that's dumb enough to do it.

I’d rather spend Bell’s money on a top CB or DE. Or some combination of upgrades on D like LB or S.

Im with you on investing in the D. Defensive coaching staff needs replaced also... at least the D coordinator

I'd rather spend Gay, Mitchell and a few other defenders money on the D and keep the best RB in the game on offense.

I could see if Bell looked like trash yesterday but he balled out like usual. Why do we need to get rid of really good players to get really good players? Get rid of expensive players on the side of the ball that stinks right now.

As stated in another thread no problem with Butler getting the axe and bury the LeBeau 3-4 with him once and for all and go to a 4-3 and bring in a coach who understands that system
