Agreed.
The problem with Steelers fans expectations is that we do this silly player by player analysis instead of looking at what the Pats have accomplished overall.
We say we have a better offense? They actually “score” more than we do every year......not by an insignificant margin.
I could give you a half dozen teams that I’d say have more offensive “talent” than the Pats. One lost (Falcons) yesterday.
If you protect a “superior” QB, he WILL slay you with or without “elite” skill players.
The Pats have had a better offense this season. They have a superior QB and coach. That is all it takes people.
Does that mean Ben and Tomlin are garbage?
Not at all, but NE has arguably GOAT at those key places, which is why they have a dynasty with only those two consistent pieces.
My hope? We have improved greatly as the season has gone on offensively. Are we better at seasons end?
I do like our defense over theirs.
I believe that WHEN OUR OFFENSE IS TRULY CLICKING we can be the better offense.
But this is in their house and they deserve to be favored. They are a “consistently” great offense. We are not.
But if we are at our best, despite the hostile environment we CAN take them.sigpic

Oh, and we have a game against the Jags to win first. Talk about “looking past” an opponent!
