Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2018 opponents and locations finalized

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2018 opponents and locations are set.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, and every other NFL team, have wrapped up the 2017 regular season, which means the team’s 2018 opponents and locations, are complete.

For those who don’t know, there’s a system determining every NFL team’s opponents. Here’s how the league puts together the 16-game schedule:
•6 games against divisional opponents, 3 home and 3 away
•Paired up with another AFC and NFC division (8 games)
•Play the two other divisional counterparts of the two conference divisions not paired up in the previous bullet.

So, in 2018, the Steelers will play all AFC North opponents twice, as always, but they’ll be paired up with the AFC West and the NFC South. Since we won our division, we’ll play the other two AFC division leaders (now known to be Jacksonville and the Patriots).

With that said, here are the 2018 Steelers’ opponents and location, as we head into the postseason:

    HOME

    Baltimore Ravens
    Cleveland Browns
    Cincinnati Bengals
    New England Patriots
    Kansas City Chiefs
    Los Angeles Chargers
    Atlanta Falcons
    Carolina Panthers

    AWAY

    Baltimore Ravens
    Cincinnati Bengals
    Cleveland Browns
    Jacksonville Jaguars
    Oakland Raiders
    Denver Broncos
    New Orleans Saints
    Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Steelers’ schedule next year, minus the dates and times, is now set. Of the games of note at home, outside the AFC North, is another rematch with the Patriots, and the now-yearly throw-down with the Chiefs.

When it comes to their road games, the Steelers will travel to play the Raiders, an excursion which never goes well, as well as a trip to Mile High.

All that is left are dates and times, which won’t be released until the NFL officially releases their complete schedule in the spring.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I have to admit though, I'd much rather see Gruden on the field against us in Oakland than hear him call a game.

I don't understand why we would play New England 2 years in a row at home.

We will have a very tough schedule next year. Lots of play off teams and lots of up and coming teams

Need to focus on sweeping the AFC North again and just getting into the play offs healthy

I don't understand why we seem to play KC every year

Last year and this year was because both teams finished in the same place in the respective divisions. Next year is because the AFC west is our AFC rotational division that happens every 4 year cycle. Even if it wasnt, we'd still play the chiefs as a result of both winning the divisions

I think Jon Gruden is a pretty bad coach. He grew on me as an announcer.

As a coach he hates the shotgun and loves bad quarterbacks...lol

The four-year cycle is for NFC teams.

AFC divisions are on a 3 year cycle.

He is by no means the only one with this bad habit, but every guy he talks about is "one of the best in the league at his position."

He was unbearable calling the Cincy/Steelers game.

Yeah, thats what i meant. Still reasons why we play the chiefs every year. Similar division success (1st or 2nd place) and a rotating schedule

I mean I used to complain about him loving every no name player, his playbook jargon, and his knack for adding 1-2 inches/10-20 pounds and shaving off .1 seconds off every players 40 time to make everyone sound bigger/faster/stronger but now its kind of part of his charm.

I loathe chris colinsworth though...he creates bad thoughts for me in their purest forms
