Which Faneca are you bringing in? The great lineman or the player who threw a hissy fit because his buddy Russ Grimm don't get the Head Coach job over Tomlin.

I doubt Tomlin would want him plus not sure he has ever coached at the NFL level

The Faneca who is a 9 time Pro Bowler, 6 time All Pro, and HOF finalist. Tomlin apparently didn't mind him helping coach the line, not once but during 2 training camps, working with Munchak.

Who knows if he'd be any good but he's stated he really enjoys teaching other players and could see himself being a coach. The players appear to enjoy having him around as well:

“A guy like him, he is a Hall of Famer in all of our books,” guard Ramon Foster said of Faneca, a Hall of Fame finalist last February. “We have heard so much about him, know much about him, what he accomplished. Having him here passing on his wisdom and stories, I think it’s cool as ever. I enjoy having him around every year.”

some people have a hard time letting things go. Faneca also called out the FO for "lying to him" about getting a new contract. It's just business.

Ben was also mad when we let Arian go.

It's ok for players to get upset but as long as they do their job I don't see the problem.

Faneca to Pittsburgh if Munchak leaves isn’t a bad idea...nor is it unheard of...

But, to NorthCoast’s point, Sarrett is reported to have done a very good job to this point...

Given Faneca’s lack of coaching experience, perhaps the Steelers would promote Sarrett and then hire Faneca to replace him as offensive assistant...

Jerry Olsavsky served as a defensive assistant for several years before being promoted...Joey Porter served as a defensive assistant...the only guy to be promoted directly to position coach was Carnell Lake, and he had at least a year of coaching experience at a Power 5 conference school...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Do you also replace retiring WR coach Richard Mann with training camp coaching intern Hines Ward? We'd have half of the SBXL team back as coaches. Or just move DHB directly from being a player in 2017 to a coach in 2018...
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

The Raiders are going to hold a news conference Tuesday. It is being reported that they will announce that Jon Gruden will be the new HC and will sign a 10 year contract worth close to 100 million dollars.

the Jon Gruden hype is unreal. The guy didn’t do jack squat after that SB. He makes cool faces but I don’t know why these franchises keep hiring these old ass coaches.

I don’t care why they hired him I’m just glad he won’t be on MNF running his mouth anymore.
