    AFCC Will Go Through Pittsburgh

Looking ahead to the playoffs, I'm guessing our first game will be against the Jags leaving NE with Baltimore or KC (I'm guessing the former).

We certainly have to take care of our business with the Jags which is no easy task. For some reason, I feel like they get the best of us far more often than they should. But this time, we're on a mission and the SuperBowl is our destiny.

I think Baltimore will beat the Pats. What better AFCC could there be than Pittsburgh / Baltimore? I know Brady is the poster boy of the NFL, but so what. NFL ratings are down and games don't get better than Pittsburgh / Baltimore. That's the matchup that reminds everyone why football is such a great game and it's exactly what the NFL needs to bring fans back to the game.

Brady in another AFCC is a yawner. I don't think KC is as good a team right now as Baltimore. But if they beat them, I do think they have the Defense that can cause problems for Brady and the NE offense.

Either way, the AFCC is coming through Heinz Field. And I'm sticking with my early season prediction that we're going to meet up with Seattle in Minneapolis for the SuperBowl. Seattle needs a little help just to make the playoffs. And there's a lot of great teams in the NFC. But if Seattle gets in, there's no QB I'd rather have leading my team in the NFC than Wilson. Every other NFC better hope that no one lets Seattle sneak into the #6 seed.

I think balt at pitt is a very real possibility. The Jags are a good football team, but i dont think they beat us a 2nd time at home. I look at it as us vs miami last yr (reg season and playoffs). Ben is also playing much better football this time around.. so i like our chances (even without shazier)

It took a 5 int game to lose last time. That is not happening again. Write it down.

Brady* has been intercepted in like 5 straight games, which is a signal of something I think. Also, I think I seen Steelers Depot cite some statistic that showed that no defense as poor as NE* has, had ever went on to win the SB.

I don't like that we aren't even trying for the #1 seed here. I mean, what if the Jets jump out 14-0 on them early, how stupid would it be if we also lose... just because Ben wanted a breather. I think it is wise for Bell, but every one should play!
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

I am certainly on the same wave length as you are flippy... I posted this a little over an hour ago on another thread...

“We will see how the seedings shape out after tomorrow but I can see a scenario where we may not even have to play the *'s in the conference championship round. However that scenario is most likely to happen, in my opinion, only if we stay the #2 seed.

#3 and #4 are locked (#3 is JAGS and #4 is KC).

Assuming the rats take care of their buissness at home tomorrow, they will have the #5 seed which would earn them a trip to KC in round 1. The #6 seed is muddied however. I could see the JAGS beating any of the 3 possible 6 seeds(Chargers/Bills/Titans) at home which would earn them a trip to play us at Heinz....

In this scenario the divisional round match ups are #3 Jags vs. #2 Steelers and #4 Chiefs/#5 Ravens vs. #1 *'s.

I think we would take care of the JAGS a second time around and earn a spot in the AFCCG..... This leaves us with the other game to decide our opponent. I like either the Ravens or the Chiefs chances in knocking off the *'s at home. Leaving us with either the Ravens or Chiefs back at Heinz for the right to play in SBLII....

On the other hand of all of this if we acquire the 1 seed it seems hard to believe the JAGS would beat the *'s and would make our divisional round matchup more difficult having to play the ravens or chiefs....

Yeah, it's a lazy saturday and I am extremely ancy for the match ups to start rounding into form.”

I think its a sign of decline in the Peyton Manning fashion. I don't know if he's going to nose dive as bad as Peyton did but his arrow is pointing down.

I want to beat Brady in his house.
And come on. You really think Baltimore gets better ratings?
Our last matchup with the Pats was a ratings beast.

If Brady is on the decline......all the better.

There is only one reason to hope it is someone else and that is fear of the Pats.

That might be warranted, but I don’t want to have to rely on someone else to slay the giant.

Of course Pats / Steelers would get better ratings. But Steelers / Ravens is a return to good ole fashioned smash mouth football that everyone loves and it's a game to re-establish everything that's good about football.

I'm not worried about the Pats at all. We clearly have the better talent. But they have the football gods looking over them. On paper, we should blow them out, especially the way Ben is playing right now. But why go down this route when everyone knows the likely outcome when something fishy happens.

The Tuck, Spygate, DeflateGate, etc. What's next with these guys? I'm guessing it's that Brady's taking an illegal substance and Belichick found out and it's why he's banned his personal trainer traveling with the team. Those guys have to be cooking up something to push the bounds of fairness. With our Brady and pushing the envelope beyond the rules, Billy B is the same crappy coach he was in Cleveland, right?

This certainly throws a wrinkle in the AFCC wild card picture. Should be an interesting discussion when the dust settles.

Exactly my feeling. This team doesn't fear the pats especially after getting robbed last game without AB for most of the game
