Why are people assuming the Steelers' FO didn't know James would sign with the Pats?

It seems silly that people would think that random dudes on twitter could predict the Pats signing James, but the FO hadn't considered that possibility. If it was really a concern of theirs, they would've just kept him on the roster. People are putting way too much stock in this signing and to be honest, this has the look and feel of "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is". I don't think he'd sell us out. I could be wrong though. When it's all said and done, he's a Steeler for life. He just wants a chance go play football these last few weeks of his career.

I hope you're right. If the things said about him by Pouncey and Dupree are true, though, that would give me pause.
