The rookie could come in , participate thru all the camps, look good thru preseason making a good impression. We know Bell won’t show up til week one; if the rookie comes in and does all that, you don’t think that kid has earned a right to start? Do you know how big the outcry from the fans will be by then for the rookie to start? If Bell thinks the fans have turned on him now, imagine how it’s going to be if a rookie or Coner shines all the way up leading up to week one??

If either Coner or the rookie come in and impress, they could easily be the starter; especially with Bell not being in playing shape in week one like last year.
