I guarantee that all of us have zero idea if he would be a good OC. The team has an idea, but we do not.
Well, Fichtner does have a record as an offensive coordinator, albeit in college....

He joined the Steelers in 2007, but the all time passing and rushing leaders for Memphis both played for Fichtner...those records have stood for awhile...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Wait. Did Shoe say we need to score 40 or 50 in the SB?

There is not a person here who has watched a minute of Fichtner's tape in Memphis.

DeAngelo Williams was a monster on that team. It's not every day that a Memphis Tiger gets taken in the first round, after all. We hired Fichtner the same year DeAngelo was taken by Carolina in round 1.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

While that may be true (I’m sure I caught at least one Memphis game when Deangelo Williams was playing) that doesn’t make it analogous to a dart board...Fichtner has a documented track record as a D1 college OC and a documented record of being a good QB coach (the fact that Landry has performed as well as he has is a testament to that).
