Tomlin Ties Gibbs for 2nd All-Time in Victories in 1st 11 Years

I thought this was pretty cool. Coach T is now tied with HOF Coach Joe Gibbs for the 2nd All-Time in wins for his first 11 seasons. This is on top of six division titles and 8 playoff appearances. When asked about the accomplishment, Tomlin simply noted that it was time to get ready for Cleveland next week.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Not bad for an "overpaid janitor" who was hired just because of the Rooney Rule

To think there are still idiots who every week look to try to find a way to criticize him being the head coach
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"

He could win the next two SB and they still would have an excuse.

Well - you know he's only successful because of Cowher's players, right? Cam, LB, AB, Williams, Pouncey, DeCastro, Gilbert, Tuitt, Hargrave, Martavis, JuJu, Shazier, Watt, Davis, etc.....

          Oh, Wait...

Some idiots will still try to spin the "Cowher's players" story even though Cowher could have better than a .500 record with "his players"

I guess if is truly about the players then Cowher was a crap coach his last season

I think it’s wrong to belittle Cowher when he only had a real qb for Ben’s first 3 years.

Tomlin has had a franchise qb his entire head coaching career.

I’m not taking shots at either coach; just want people to keep everything in contex.

I'm not going to go there, but I will say that this year (i.e. this team) should define him. We have the best roster top to bottom. The only other team even close is the Wentz-led Eagles, who are about where we were two years ago IMO. That team (the 2015 one where we beat Burfict and were a Touissant fumble from the SB), is on a proper trajectory to win this year. They tasted the playoffs in '15-->they went to the AFCC in '16, humiliated (i.e. built-in motivation)-->which brings us to now.

The last two years, this has been the best roster. For sure, this year. It seems to outsiders, that he (Tomlin) has sabotaged that effort by dumping a leader and sentimental face in Harrison, for a fat tub of potato salad named Dan McCullers.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.
