Game demonstrates why a receiver can never truly deserve to be league MVP

Brown is a GREAT receiver. the best. We are better with him of course.
But Hopkins is also a great receiver,

There was ONE "great" receiver in this game and his team got smoked. As is typical for him.

My point? Ben makes this offense go.
Brown can have an All Pro season racking up number (as he was early on) and if we have "bad Ben" the offense struggles.
When "good Ben" is playing.....he can still shred you without his best receiver.

    Look at Houston.
TEARING UP THE LEAGUE with Watson. Now.....they are pathetic. DESPITE having a "great" receiver.
Remember when we had "bad Ben" many of us feared the game with the rookie.

As it turned out it was a cakewalk.

Of course having better receivers is preferable (as are better players at any position).

But receivers simply are not as valuable as people think.

    Just ask the Patriots.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

It’s hard to argue with that logic. I hate the fact the MVP nearly always goes to a QB - but you can’t escape the fact the QB has his hands on the ball every play and if he doesn’t play well, nothing else really matters. Or as Ben said, he’s the one who threw all those balls to AB.

You could argue with as many clutch and difficult catches that Brown has made this year that he could easily be considered for MVP. Also what Brown does to defenses is a huge benefit to our QB and running game. If there is a receiver out there that could be considered MVP, it is Antonio Brown.

I would agree and argue this point. Brown made Ben look better than he his this season. Now, I would say Ben also makes great throws to make Brown better, but AB is a step above the rest, even Hopkins. Hopkins made a great catch, but he wasn't double teamed the entire game. Yes, he had Ty (what's his name) throwing him the ball, so I'd say that equals it out. He was 4/65/1. Not MVP numbers.

I get your point and I'd agree, but I want Brown to win!

Bens QB rating without Brown over the last 2 games....
-Versus NE110 (could have been higher had the TD catch not been overturned and the end of game pick never happens)
-115 versus the texans this week.

Sure Brown matters.......but LEAGUE MVP when the passing game thrives without him?

4/65/1 is STELLAR when his QBs threw for 8 total completions for a total of 93 yards and the touchdown was the catch of the year.
Swap teams and you think Hopkins who has flourished with scrubs his entire career cant put up Brown numbers?
Truth be told how many Texans games do we watch to know how Hopkins compares to Brown?

Look at the kids numbers......dude is an obscenely large portion of an AWFUL offense.

No argument, as I said from the start we are better with Brown.
Just saying he aint league MVP. No receiver can be.
