I don't understand why Sutton only got 3 defensive snaps in the final game against Cleveland, while William Gay got 22 defensive snaps. Sutton could use the reps after missing more than half his rookie year, and he's already a better player than Gay at this point, at least in my mind. Haden and Burns should start, Hilton should be the nickel slot corner, but at this point, Sutton should be the dime back over Gay. It's time. Hopefully they are using these two weeks effectively to get #34 ready for it.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Interesting that you bring that up because during the game I commented to my wife about "why is Gay playing so much?" Sutton is the future and Gay is on his way out the door. I didn't see the value of having Gay out there at all. Quite frankly not sure why he is taking up a roster spot this season.

I think Gay adds decent value on the defensive depth except against the patriots...he is and always has been a huge liability against brady. He is responsible for like 30 of gronks 100 TDs against the steelers.

Hes on the roster because they love him...hes not expensive, he never misses practice, hes a good veteran presence for the DBs. But I agree sutton needs reps. I havent lost faith completely in Burns though....his awareness does give me flashbacks to Cortez Allen sometimes, which is worrisome
