    Gilbert

Is he back this week? Is he healed? Has he ever played left tackle? I'm having mixed feelings about AV lately in spite of his " Pro Bowl " selection.

He's back from a 4 game suspension from PED use. I'd assume they put him back in his RT spot, don't touch AV, and allow Hubbard to go back to being the primary back-up and bringing him in as an extra blocker throughout the game.

Hubbard may be taking reps at LG if Foster is in concussion protocol.
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Was Gilbert gone and out of the line up? Didn't notice.

Because Hubbard stepped up big time. One place the front office has done very well, is having starter quality players ready in backup roles.

BTW, I assumed sarcasm in your comment, before I get blasted

Yes to sarcasm but sentiment is still the same. Didn't miss Gilbert at all

Isn't Finney the #1 back up inside?

True, Hubbard is a stud and probably will be looking for a starting gig next year. No clue what his contract status is, but in his place I would certainly look for starter money.

Gilbert is better than Hubbard, its not all that close.

Hubbard is a free agent at the end of the season

Hubbard is a UFA, and there is no way we’re going to be able to sign him if we’re franchising Bell again and paying Shazier $8 million...

Sadly I don't think we have to worry about the latter. I expect his career is over and an injury settlement will be negotiated

Not necessarily. Shazier’s 5th year option was guaranteed for injury the moment the Steelers chose to exercise it. Now, since he had what may be a career ending injury, there might be a way that the team is protected, but I don’t know.

Too soon to be drawing conclusions about Shazier's career. I hope he considers his health and well being before deciding about coming back, though.

I want to be optimistic but tough for this one. I think Inside LB will be very high among our draft needs in 2018.
