what a loss tonight for the *’s would open up is the opportunity for us to clinch a first round bye if we are to beat them next week.

But you are correct. Even if they lose tonight they would hold a tie breaker over us if they beat us next week.

but as I think about it, the pats need to beat us to reclaim the #1 seed. that being said, if we beat the pats - they will then have 4 losses on the season. I don't know where that puts them with respect to the jags - but it opens up the bye week as a possibility for jacksonville. I suspect we'll have a lot of fans in northern florida on sunday.

Miami did control the clock -- 35-25 -- so there's something there. But NE's game is not based on clock control.

62 was getting beat by Suh and friends, I gotta think Cam and his friends (remember too, Cam wasn't there last year) are licking their chops to line up on that guy. I think (hope) this could help equalize things a bit, or at least I can see Brady* having to adjust his facemask once or twice (from a hit).
