    Hats off to Haley!

Dang, broke 30 points and then some ... another 4th quarter comeback by Ben ... awesome!

If we can just figure out how not to take the 3rd qrtr off in these games, we'll be bona fide unstoppable!

Haley and the O have been good for several games in a row (they only really stink when Ben isn't playing well, but he's been on the upswing since the miserable Jag game).

The O gives us room to believe. The D -- not so much.

I would like to hear about why we didn't burn clock and run the ball for those two plays at the end. We wouldn't have had to have a heart attack about whether the D would hold them if we'd made them burn that last time out.

Ben addressed it in his presser, but my connection cr*pped out right about then.

      Anybody have any thoughts!

Yea, I have thoughts, it was a bad decision not to trust "The wizard of Boz" and run the ball two times forcing the ravens to use their final TO and leaving them trailing by a point with the ball on the 25, no timeouts and about 20 seconds, those are my thoughts. That kind of clock management loses games in the playoffs.

This is Bens offense now. Haley prepares him with a game plan and Ben executes it by calling his own plays.
the last 2 offensive plays were on Ben.

            This.

Everyone and their sister was screaming at the screen to not throw the ball, to run instead and take time off the clock. So the coaching staff, and I'm just going to say this, absolutely *cannot* be unknowing of that.

So that tells me that there must be some other upside to passing the ball there that I can't comprehend. The alternative is too terrible to even contemplate.

That may be the case but its still poor situational football, whether its Ben or the coaching staff. They have to be more aware the clock, down, distance and score, IMO. They were fortunate that Maclin stepped OOB on the deep pass.

C'mon. No compliments for Haley. Everything is his fault that isn't Tomlin's. Get back on narrative now!!!!

I had no problems with it, the fg wasn't a chip shot and the Ravens was sitting in the run. Some of the same people that question this would also question why we weren't trying to get close if Boz misses.

I was also screaming at the TV to run the ball, make them use their final time out and was afraid for the to get the ball back.
Hindsight is easy I know but after I calmed down I agree with trying to get a few more yards. As good as Boz has been this is still Hienz field and you need to assure a field goal with the shortage attempt possible.

Maybe the Steelers (Ben) were thinking they'd catch the ravens off guard by passing. The Baltimore expectation would be for the Steelers to run to use clock and make them use a timeout. They get a first there and they could have really milked the clock to nothing.

Wow. IMO as close to an immediately fireable OC offense as one can be.

So many things in that situation that could have gone wrong, and actually almost did. And if they had, it would have been for no necessary reason ...

And there is the rub. Sometimes overthinking a situation is worse than the obvious.
