I think it's Tomlin being Tomlin. It's strange too because most of the time, his coach-speak says nothing. But for some reason, he feels the need to say things like he did on Sunday. And like last year before the AFCC game, when he said that "they haven't had to go through us yet", etc.. And the year he said we were going to "unleash hell". I don't know why he does it because it's embarrassing when the team doesn't produce after it.

If everyone here was forced to bet their next paycheck on the Steelers-Patriots game in December, I wonder how many would take the Steelers?

Great question: I'm a bit embarrassed to say that probably bet my paycheck on us. But I really thought the same thing last January, due in some part with the bravado I mentioned I got from Tomlin back then too. It's embarrassing because I feel that I (as a informed fan like you all) think I should be wise enough to see it, or see through it. And I can't.

williar also made a great point, about how he like the not being a punk-bitch and standing up to them. I agree, which is why I was duped in January, only to be massively let down then. I feel like he wouldn't be so stupid to (blindly) do the same, if he didn't have 11 months of letting it stew and more importantly, identifying something in them that he worked to correct or exploit in the next matchup.

No need to be embarrassed! Good for you! I don't think I could do it. Too long of a history of disappointing performances against the cheaters. For some reason, we are as intimidated by them as the Clowns and Bungles are of us.
