Once again, you make things up.

I never said that. I said it was not indicative of any skill on his behalf. I have invited you, via film review, to show me where it is indicative of skill and you have refused.

We've seen James catch a TD in traffic in the end zone in the first game this year. We've seen Grimble catch a TD pass from 20 yards out vs the Ravens last year.
So, you can point out 2 in 2 seasons. Bully.
Their responsibilities are different this year because we have JuJu who is a much better slot receiver than Eli and he gives us the flexibility of running or passing since he blocks like Heinz.
The words of someone pretending he knows something he does not. If JJSS is blocking so well, it should free up more routes for the TEs. Our TEs are doing the same thing they have always been asked to.

Seriously, we have JuJu and MB back this year so why would anyone think our TE's would be a factor in this offense? That's not our scheme. We don't need our TE's to Jimmy Graham or Gronk it up. When the time comes that our WR's are covered Ben will look to a TE if Bell isn't open but more times than not he is going to force it to AB or Bell because those guys are capable of making things happen regardless of how many guys are surrounding them.
False choice. No one said we need a Gronk. We need a competent TE. One who blocks. One who can draw coverage on occasion as a decoy or legitimate threat. One who challenges safeties to make a decision to cover the seam/pole routes or double an outside guy. Our guys (other than Vance) do not and cannot do it.

It's called healthy competition. You do realize teams pick up players for depth all the time? If Tomlin truly wanted to replace James he wouldn't be playing right now. Ben has praised Jesse James this year and Tomlin said this after his 2 TD game to open the season:

“You know he delivered some big-time plays, particularly in the red area,” Tomlin said. “Performance in the red area will define us. His contributions in that area were exceptional.”

            exceptional

repeat that 5 times then put it in your pipe and smoke it. LOL..

one other nugget. We haven't had a TE catch 2 TD's in one game since 2012... and we lost that game.

second nugget. Our TE's aren't the second option or the 3rd option and that's OK. As long as they catch TD's I'm fine with it. We have more than enough play makers at WR.
lol He complimented James after one game. Like that overrides his trying to replace him twice.

The former Charger and now Vance were not needed for "depth'. Neither were here to be the third stringer behind JJ and X.

even if he could it wouldn't matter. You refuse to believe Jesse James is an adequate TE for our offense regardless of what is said by coaches and players. Only words you believe are the training camp coach speak that we hear from Tomlin every year.

One thing I do know is next week Jesse James and these other TE's will be on the field and hopefully they continue to STEP UP when called upon.

Well, saying someone said something they did not and refusing to acknowledge/retract it IS a lie? Right?

More than his words are his actions. Green. Vance. Both started over James when healthy. It's no coach speak. It's action.

And what's more likely to be "coach speak?" A compliment after a two TD game or a statement about a TE right after trading for another one? Coach speak is not calling someone junior varsity. They don't insult in "coach speak." Coach speak is mindless compliments.

and when we needed one drive to save our season who caught 3 passes on the last drive?

wait, so getting complimented AFTER being criticized doesn't count? Being on the field and playing every week doesn't over ride us "trying" to replace him?

You realize "trying to replace him and failing doesn't prove your point? It just shows that Jesse has been able to fend off the competition... and competition is healthy in football. Players are brought in all the time to compete with other players.

yes, he was burned on a play. It happens to the best corners.

It almost certainly is. You would have to Google "TE route tree" to know what a pole route was.

Jesse's football prowess caused those concussions and Vance's assorted injuries? What a player!

incorrect.. while I don't give a crap about who "starts" a game I'm more concerned with who finishes and who contributes the most during the year.

coach speak is used for positives and negatives as well. It's just coach speak. One shouldn't get too high or too low regardless of what Tomlin says. A players job is to show up every week and do what is asked.
