In the last three games, Brown has been targeted 32 times...Bell has been targeted 31 times...The TEs as a group have been targeted 17 times...

With that in mind, please tell me what they could have done better in those 17 targets...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

      what are you talking about?

i disagree with the premise that our TEs are stepping up and playing great. the coach you idolize so much said they were at a junior varsity level before the season

i havent said one thing pessimistic after last nights win

maybe bell is targeted so much because the TEs cant get open. its not rocket science

70 yards in 3 games. there is room for improvement, you are just such a homer you cant admit it

he said they appear to be stepping up. He never said a word about them playing great.

Maybe be our TE’s aren’t targeted a bunch because we have 2 of the best skill player in the game and it looks like we have the best rookie WR this year as well?

Seriously. MB wanted to be traded because of his lack of targets. It’s not because these guys aren’t getting open. Ben likes going vertical. As long as he continues to find them in the EZ I’m happy. Hopefully Ben replaces 1 or 2 more third and short bombs to a double covered WE with a pass to the TE who is usually open underneath.

Our guys are not "deadly". Just horrible. Their recent TDs are a credit to Haley and his play design, not them.
The FO knows this too. It's just that they've tried to improve the position through UFA instead of the draft (although we did draft JJ recently too). We've brought in two athletic TEs through UFA recently to try to punish Ds for focusing too hard on Brown and Bell. The first was good when he played by was plagued by concussions. The second looks like a slight upgrade over JJ, but a good part of that improvement seems to be due to blocking as pass catching is inconsistent (not a good trait when you don't get too many targets).

We're OK at TE, but it's a position we could certainly get better at. I that that's the baseline position the team likes to be in going into the draft. That way they can take a guy if he's at the top of their board, but aren't forced to pick a position 100% based on need.

              I didn’t bring up Gronk

and I also stated how we can’t have the greatest player at every skill position.. lol

Must not a position we are going to spend a high draft pick on until we have addressed the defense and the WR position.

Then you have guys like Engram from Ole Miss or Enron who look like beast in college but can’t catch on the pros. I doubt we go TE early unless it’s a BPA pick like JuJu in the 2nd.

We we need a QB. We need more OL since Gilbert is now on lockdown.

Eddies mad... must mean we won.

for the record, WB made a sarcastic comment about elite production from the TE position.

A few fun facts about Heath. 6 out of 11 years he had 3 or less TD's. 2 of Heaths best seasons we had records of 9-7 and 8-
I think those who miss Heath miss saying "Heeeeath" more than they actually miss him for his production.

He averaged 3.5 receptions for 39 yards per game over his career.

Our TE's just need to keep scoring TD's at this rate and we will be fine.
