Steelers' Tight Ends Appear To Be Stepping Up...

While Brown and Bell have carried the load offensively, over the last three games, the Steelers TEs have recorded:

    11 catches
    70 yards
    3 TDs

There aren't a lot of footballs left after Bell and Brown, but I'm happy that the TEs are making the most of the opportunities given to them...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Meh. Our TE's are mediocre at best.

Draft need, especially if Vance cannot stay healthy. JJ is horrible.

If we are drafting based on "Need" next year... QB is a lock (unless we pick up a FA). Ben, although he's looking better in recent weeks, is on borrowed time. I honestly don't see him sticking around past this year, regardless of the outcome.

In this offense? Hell yeah that’s stepping up. TE is an after thought in our passing attack.

We cant have all pros at ever position. Pretty sure most teams haven’t had 3 TD’s by their TE’s in the past 3 games.

Quick glance shows Jimmy Graham with 4 TD’s the last 3 games but after that everyone seems to have 2 TD’s or less in the past 3 games and those teams usually rely on their TE’s way more than we do for production.

once you look at AB, JuJu and Bells production the last 3 weeks I think our numbers for our TE’s is pretty good.

I like my TE’s quiet but deadly. I don’t want huge stats. Just score TD’s and move the chains every now and then.

We don’t need a TE. We need to throw more to the ones we have because more times than not good things happen when we throw the ball in their direction.

Actually, the TE is only an afterthought in our passing attack because out TEs are an afterthought. Heath, for example, was no "afterthought."

And at least two of the TDs (I do not remember the third) were fully scheme and nothing to do with great TE play. No thirty yard passes up the seam. A shovel pass and another where the scheme made the D think JJ was blocking and he slid behind them wide open. Any poster here could have caught those two.

AB doubled every play, the middle of field should be wide open

our TEs are average at best

calling them deadly is a complete joke

Yeah, it would suck to have that Gronkowski guy. Or Kelce.

An actual threat at TE would make both AB and Martavis SOOOOOOOOOOO much better. It makes the safety pick his poison. Play the TE running up the seam or cover the outside guy.

Our guys are not "deadly". Just horrible. Their recent TDs are a credit to Haley and his play design, not them.

Gotta give something up to have a Kelce or a Gronk. You don’t have an all pro QB, RB, WR along with an all pro TE.

I prefer having a JuJu and MB over a TE.

I would rather throw it to JuJu or MB over the middle than a TE.

Dont get me wrong, I enjoy seeing our TE’s get targets but I’m not losing sleep over it because he have tons of faster and better options than a TE.

Three TDs in the last three games isn’t stepping up? How did they do in games 1-8?

Instead of throwing to AB at any cost, our beloved franchise QB is spreading the ball around enough for us to take advantage...and AB is still putting up unreal numbers...

They want Jimmy Graham/Gronk numbers from our TE.

Having the best RB and WR isn’t enough. We need the best TE and best back up QB as well. LOL.

no, honest fans just realize the TE group is subpar and the fanboys cant just admit that

70 yards in 3 games, thats not stepping up but you two cheerleaders keep telling yourselves it is

It is compared to their previous contributions.

Somehow you took stepping up and twisted it into HOFer or player of the week.

OP never suggested it was record breaking stats. Just an improvement over previous stats. IMO it’s the TD’s that stand out.

Why hey are you always so pessimistic? Especially after a win? You should probably log off until we lose a game.
