    Punter Schmunter, who needs one?

Since our punting game stinks, I say put Byron in there on fourth down and have him
heave it 50 yards down the field. If we catch it, it's a big play. If we get a pass interference,
it's a big play. If the defender is arrogant enough to intercept the ball to
pad his stats, than it's as good as a punt and receiver turned gunner Hines Ward has
a change to break someones jaw.

The only fatal flaw is an incomplete pass or sack. My people are still working on this.

I might have been dreaming, but I think I saw something this weekend about a free kick on 4th down from anywhere on the field. WTF was it, too much wacky weed (not likely)? Did anyone else catch this? Maybe in the Giants or Jets games (only ones I watched)?

The main thing is that you can do some kind of kick-off, a free kick, on 4th down. Never heard of that before in my life.

OK, I couldn't stand it, so here's a link or two. I still don't understand it, but bottom line is ... punter shmunter, who needs one?!

I think it is hilarious and appropriate that you don't want Ben to throw this ball. He is the Ernster of deep throws.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

Argh...Ben's deep ball is FINE. It just wasn't as good as usual because of his bum shoulder and lack of practice (until recently).
