Rookie of the Year so far?

So, now that we've reached the halfway point of the season, in your best estimation, who would you guys say has the upper hand on rookie of the year honors so far?
It's close, but I'd have to go with TJ.

He has 4 sacks, 29 total tackles and a pick. Solid for the position.

Kareem Hunt leads the NFL in rushing and all purpose yards, and has 6 scores.
As a rookie, he is dueling our guy Bell for best in the NFL at the position.

Fournett is also in the conversation. Sure looked great against us.

Lattimore is the highest rated corner in the league according to Football Focus and the Saints defense has improved by leaps and bounds.

      There are plenty of candidates.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Wait.....are we just talking Steelers? I might have misunderstood the question.

I thought just steelers - but I may have misunderstood as well. if we go league wide - you'd have to consider watson as well, though missing the last half of the season will likely exclude him from contention.

Deshaun Watson was a shoo in until his injury

Hunt is getting the most attention because he is getting the most touches. Hopefully JuJu can overcome that in the second half.

Agreed Deshaun was a no brainer before his injury.

Hunt is a league leader, not just among rookies, in the entire NFL. He has more yards from scimmage than Bell or anybody in the NFL. Yes, he gets touches, but he is EXTREMELY productive.
              NFL All Pro level productive,

Juju IS having a really good season but he would need to supplant Brown to even be in the conversation. That ain't gonna happen.

A better case related to touches can be made for Founett (I think he is actually better) who is similarly productive as Hunt but has played less games.

I predict his 2nd half is superior to Hunt.

I meant just the team. Sorry for the confusion.

Do Hilton count since he's never made an active roster I don't believe? If so Hilton without a doubt. If not I would've gave it to Watt before Sunday game but now I got to go with Ju.

                      Watson woukd have won it
                      Hunt is next
JuJu is probably tied with Fournette

oh, can’t forget about Kamura. 6 yards a carry and a problem in the passing game. Heheh

There may be a few dudes on D but I think its almost impossible to win on D unless you scored a few TD's

They choose both offensive and defensive rookies of the year, IIRC....

                            Tied with Fournette?
Fournette leads the league in rushing yards per game at 99.3. He leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns and missed 2 games.
He missed the last two games otherwise he'd likely be leading the league in rushing right now.

Again, Juju is doing a great job, but you cannot compare a receiver who in week 8 had his breakout game and has 24 total catches, to RBs who are on pace to challenge to lead the league and are in the running for all pro honors.

Its running backs tho, ANYONE can jump in and play RB. Its a passing league.
