No Watson, no Luck. Our defense will not be forged in steel as we hit the playoffs ..

All I know is that the only legit QB we've faced is Stafford. And he threw for over 400 yards on us. So I have zero faith that our defense will do better against Brady then it did when last we faced him. There's no proof that our defense is any better against him.

No matter how some of you look at it, this defense is darn good. We shut down Alex who were having an MVP season. Then we took down Keenan who by the way the following week threw for well over 200 yds and a couple of tds. Cincinnati was averaging about 30 pts a game before we played them. Yea those are not household names but the seems to perform pretty well against the other partofthe league. Even Stafford had a big game passing but didn't get a single td.

Defense has played excellent, we are good enough right now to beat the Pats even with some of our offensive struggles.

Stafford isn't Brady. You let Brady march up and down on us like that and there is no doubt he's putting it in the end zone. Stafford isn't in Brady's zip code.

Alex Smith is nothing and has been nothing for over 10 years now. If your judging our secondary on by what we did to Alex Smith (who we've always owned anyway) then you are delusional. Our secondary has to be much better then what we saw against Stafford to slow down Brady. In the red zone, Brady will go to Gronk (who we seem to have no answer for).

The answer is a simple one, IMO. It's the same one as "How do you beat Brady**", and always has been - get to him often, after popping him hard once or twice early in the game, and don't give him time to feel comfortable in the pocket.

It would be nice for JH to make the winning sack-fumble-recovery in a few wks!

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

I wouldn't call 15-22 for 101 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT for Glennon and 8-14 for 95 yards with 0 TD and 1 INT for Bortles struggling against backup quality QB's.
This. Nothing but facts detected here.

My main point, however, is that we don't need to practice against good QBs in order to beat Tom Brady. How to beat Brady is well known. The Steelers are just never able to pull it off.
SB hangover dude.. we had a history of not showing up after hoisting a Lombardi.

yes.. this is true. Now, I will say this year Brady is struggling to score in the red zone as well.

it doesn't matter if Gronk is playing or not when we face them. That GL defense isn't going to be enough against a QB like Brady. We have to do better. We need to jam at the LOS to let our DL get to Brady. This year that OL is struggling but I know they made some adjustments. Can't wait to see how they look this week.

Our history also includes not getting to the Superbowl because of an embarrassing loss to Tim Tebow.
