Here's an interesting stat from Nextgenstats; he is #15 in the NFL in '% aggressiveness' in passing. They define aggressiveness as the number of pass attempts into a tight window (defender is within 1 yd of the receiver).

    #1 is Hogan
    #2 is Wentz
    #3 is Palmer

Also, he is #3 in 'average intended air yards' is the average yards of all intended passes.
Yards isnt the problem, its TD's. Hopefully he finds his mojo during the break. While he had a few miscues he also had some dropped passes that would have changed the game... with this D we dont need him to be perfect, just limit the TO's and toss a TD or 2.

And all he would do is yell at his wide receivers and blame them when he was clearly done and throwing picks all game. Ben is starting to do that in that he shakes his head at the WR when he's the one who throws the pass behind the receiver or it sails two feet above an outstretched wide receiver hands.

Ben needs to man up and just pat his hand on his chest and say, " My bad". Man up.
That's a good and relevant analogy, just like the Manning one. In manning up, I think again that he needs to rededicate himself on the practice field. (I don't know that he isn't, but it seems that way.) Because besides all those other guys mentioned (and I'll throw in old Elway; he had a great run game and O-line), Ben overwhelmingly has the best talent corps around him. Sh1t, Ben has arguably the best talent corps in history around him! This is a golden opportunity for a guy like him, to win an "easy" championship. Especially with this D the way it is playing.

Who needs to learn any real useful, marketable skills when you can focus all of your brain power on the truly important stuff like sports stats and movie quotes?
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

The Steelers may be in a mode where they are just hoping they can get more positives plays than negative ones out of Roethlisberger.
Who knows though? maybe the bye week is a turning point for his season.

60 offensive plays in an average game; LB gets 30, and the rest is split equally between AB, JJSS, and MB (w a sprinkle of TE). Seems that should be a recipe for at least 30 pts/gm.

I was at the game and came away thinking that but a few bad throws (most notably the int, which was a horrible decision) Ben played pretty well. I rewatched most of the game over the last couple of days and still believe that it was a much more positive game than many are saying. Not vintage Ben by any means but a lot of very nice throws.

After the int he seemed to do something that many people have been lobbying for over the years which is throw the ball away instead of holding onto it too long. So, on a couple of throws - one that I can think of down the sideline that went out of bounds to AB with Slay in coverage - were ugly throws, they were thrown away if Ben didn't see anyone open. He also checked down a couple of times to Bell when nothing was open down field.

Replays at the game from a different angle made the DHB play look like a much more catchable ball than the way it looked on TV. Throw in the Rogers EZ drop and the 3rd down JJSS drop and that changes the complexion of the game from a pretty tight game to runaway blowout. Every team has drops but two of those were two of the easiest balls a receiver can have thrown their way. That is two TDs, and a 3rd down conversion instead of a punt.

I won't say that the way he is playing that Ben will single-handedly lead us to the SB, but in the last few games he has in no way been playing as bad as Manning at the end of his career.
