Not bad for a guy who shouldn't have been drafted since we should have reached for a DB

Interesting now that Sutton is back practicing we are in a situation of too many DBs

      Front office got it right

Thank God for Joe Haden, huh - or our secondary would probably still be in a mess! The FO can prove me wrong, anytime!!! But at the same time, as much as I am loving JuJu - he still ain't solving the offense's problems and DEFENSE is still winning the games! So in the scheme of things I would still take a CB over a WR if we had the draft today! My hope is the FO is just as successful choosing a QB in this next draft - then we might finally be on to something, here....

Even after watching JuJu play, you would still choose a CB in the 2nd round?

Any CB we had chosen would have been beaten for a TD by JuJu...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Through the first half of the season, Juju has the most receptions among the rookie wideouts (24), the most receiving yards among the rookie wideouts (424), and the most receiving TD's among the rookie wideouts (4). The 5 wideouts taken ahead of Juju have had a combined 26 catches for 257 yards and 0 TD's.

Granted. the 3 wideouts taken in the top 10 of the draft have all been held back by injuries thus far (it will be interesting to see where JJSS stacks up against those 3 when they are all healthy). Here is the breakdown:

              Corey Davis:
              2 games, 1 start, 7 catches, 73 yards, 0 TD.

              Mike Williams:
              3 games, 0 starts, 2 catches, 22 yards, 0 TD.

              John Ross:
              2 games, 1 start, 0 catches, 0 yards, 0 TD
(his only touch was a single carry for 12 yards where he was re-injured and lost a fumble).

              Zay Jones:
              7 games, 6 starts, 10 catches, 115 yards, 0 TD.

              Curtis Samuel:
              7 games, 2 starts, 7 catches, 47 yards, 0 TD.

              -------------------------------------------------------------------

Combination of the 5 wideouts selected ahead of him:
              21 games, 10 starts, 26 catches, 257 yards, 0 TD.

              --------------------------------------------------------------------

              Juju Smith-Schuster:
              8 games, 2 starts, 24 catches, 424 yards, 4 TD.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Steelers have developed a penchant for picking WR's - I think that is why they were confident picking JuJu when they did. I was shocked at the time, but I am very happy to have him on our team as I see him as a future star. At the same time, I believed we had good receivers and still think our receiving core is strong enough to make plays if we didn't have JuJu - provided our QB can get the ball in their hands.

OK, since Juju is producing AND Haden fell into our lap, the pick wound up to be right.

But as long as we are gonna judge injured rookies by their lack of stats after half a season....... you might as well just call Cam Sutton a bust already.

Yeah, curious thing to say when... if the draft was today, Juju would probably be a top 15 pick (so btw, wouldbe Watt) and a first-round lock.

Just to play devils advocate here - The coaching staff seems to be bending over backward getting JuJu involved in the game plans and setting him up for big plays. Imagine if they used that same energy and fortitude trying to get MB going or spreading the ball around a little more to other guys. I am sure it would yield the same results! And don't get too caught up in the big play, JuJu has dropped a few along the way as well.

The coaching staff is working JuJu into the game plan because he has earned it. Imagine the success Bryant would have if he has worked on earning his starting job instead of being immediately named a starter.

Instead of whining on social media and asking for a trade, Bryant could have been working as hard as JuJu. There was absolutely no shortage of targets for Bryant through the first 6 games of the season...

Maybe JuJu has earned the confidence of the coaches to justify getting worked into the offense whereas MB just expected it to happen. It's not like MB hasn't had more than his fair share of drops

Look - that was a perfect pass to JuJu! Hit him right in stride, he didn't even have to slow down to look back, otherwise he would have been caught from behind. You don't think the other receivers were thinking "I'd be JuJu to right now if the passes thrown to me looked like that"!

It's the same guy throwing the ball to the other WRs as well...

                                It was a perfect pass...a 97 yard pass...you can't get much longer...

At any rate, he earned his opportunity and took that particular pass to the end zone...
