dont have to watch this 'elite' offense struggle to score a td or 2 against a bad team

To win on the road and not play that well is a good sign.
Good observations & way to keep it in perspective. All in all, it's good win as Lions D is no joke (have them in a couple of FF leagues but not today &#128521 & Stafford is a gunslinger. That said, my concern is that the 3rd thru 6th of our vaunted receiving corps (I'm including the TE too) just flat out didn't produce & that led to some of the issues tonight. All of which means we need Bryant for a deep run more than we realized despite JuJu's breakout.

Jesse James had 2 catches for 42 yards.

I wish we utilized him more.

Could of easily had 35 or 40 just by making easy plays that the players blew.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

I get that but unlike AB's non-TD (which is subjective refereeing), the success of the team does boil down to the individuals making a play - and sometimes like tonight, making those "splash" plays at critical times (JuJu's long TD & the multiple goal-line D stands) wins over sustained execution & we've been on the wrong of those on occasion too. If you want to ride Ben's case, then fine...there's enough for you to make a case. But in both instances of the missed TD catches the WRs failed to make the play despite the team executing two good calls by Haley. On another thread the point was made that Ben was so bad the WRs were losing confidence, when I'd argue that the opposite was true. Eli has to make that catch, DHB has to lay out for his & JuJu - despite all the good he did - has to make that 1st down grab that was right in his mitts. In some ways it was almost like last year's playoffs, AB double-covered & the D takes their chances with the rest. The frustration for Ben is real as the check-downs were often the result of WRs not getting open or the Lions playing good situational defense. If anything, I have issue with Haley's playcalling as it seems pedestrian with the talent he has & seems reliant on pet plays & the players free-lancing. With that said, I agree with you the team should do a lot better but I have no problem winning ugly until it does...if you still feel differently, ask Stafford how he feels right now.
