We don't need to wait for a substantial 4th quarter lead to take out Bell completely and put Conner in completely. You can just give Conner a carry or two per series even in the first half of a close game. If Bell breaks off a 20+ yard run, then give him a one play breather and put Conner in. Or if Bell runs the ball for 3 or 4 plays in a row, then give him a one play breather and put Conner in. Keep him fresh.
