Anyone still think Bell needs to be traded next year?
Unless he lowers his demands. I don't think he'll be back.
Doubt the fo will want to pay him 15+ per year and I don't think the FO will franchise him agsin.
Partly for the salary and partly to let him free and test the market

Why not franchise him again ... what do you see as the downside from the FO point of view?
No one wants to move on from Bell. But no one wants to pay the guy any more than the $12m he was offered... certainly not the $18m. Look at the catastrophe that BAL has become since mortgaging away their team on Flacco.

Bell doesn’t want Flacco money. Your post doesn’t make sense.
bell is worse than flacco money. he wants twice the next rb. flacco didnt demand twice the highest paid qb
Lmao... no, it’s definitely not worse.
Flaccos contract made it so they couldn’t resign Boldin who pretty much saved Flacco’s behind the year they won the SB. Dude was catching everything that year.
If Bells contract stopped us from keeping our OL then sure, I would agree. I don’t think that would be the case since we signed our LT for pennies on the dollar.
I wouldn't sweat it. The steelers have shown over their history they don't overpay for any player. I suspect if they can't come to a long term deal, they'll franchise him again. But I seriously doubt he ends up with more than 12 per year. I also think the hiccup isn't so much over the total amount, rather the amount that's guaranteed. I think that's where the movement will occur.
The Steelers would trade Bell if they can't reach a deal with him and they could get a 1st or 2nd round pick for him. They might even take a 3rd round pick. What team would trade for a player that would become a free agent? It's possible that if Bell leaves the Steelers offensive system he might not have as much success starting over with a new team. Bell would be wise to take a good and fair deal from the Steelers.
