Decastro has been excellent from the beginning, a few bad games doesn't change that. I also think there's a very fine line in the NFL between excellence and the dog heap - and I recognize having Foster and Gilbert out and using backups may screw with the timing just enough that the dropoff is noticeable. But there has been a dropoff nonetheless - and saying so doesn't mean I think our O-Line is a bunch of scrubs or Jarvis 2.0. It just means they haven't been getting the job done. Which is something I believe Decastro himself has said recently.
Jarvis was the comparison made last week when talking about DeCastro, though. I don't recall specifically who made it. It was probably done sarcastically anyway.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

DeCastro last week vs. this week were two different people.

Gives hope that the O-line will be able to keep that run-blocking skill they demonstrated against KC.

we ran more than the same draw play this week but I also think Nix was the real difference. I saw him blow up a few people to spring Bell. It so much fun to watch Bell run when the OL is doing their thing
