I'd like to see Ben stop taking days off from practice as long as he's not playing well. Is "It's Wednesday, so Ben doesn't practice today" as much of a WFT idea under these circumstances as it seems to me?

I agree. Ben hasn't passed for more than 300 yards in something like 10 games now. You want to be the leader? Show the rest of the team you're focused towards improving YOUR game.

Interesting that Foster and Gilbert were both limited in practices last week, but Foster was able to play against Baltimore and Gilbert was not...however now Gilbert is able to practice fully and Foster isn't able to practice at all.

We are really going to need Shazier and Tuitt to be ready to go this weekend, because we are going to get a huge dose of Leonard Fournette in this game, and even when he gets an occasional breather, they can come back with Chris Ivory or T.J. Yeldon.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I agree 100%. Ben has not been sharp at all this season. Gotta wonder if they are hiding an injury

              Week 5 Injury Report (Jaguars)

A look at player injuries and practice participation for Week 5.

Tackle Marcus Gilbert had an up and down week in practice, He was a full participant on Wednesday, and then missed practice on Thursday and Friday with a hamstring injury that held him out the last two weeks, and is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Jaguars at Heinz Field.

If Gilbert can't go, it will once again be Chris Hubbard who steps in at right tackle. Hubbard has started the last two games in Gilbert's absence, last week helping to block for Le'Veon Bell who rushed for 144 yards.

"He has been doing an excellent job," said Maurkice Pouncey. "He is playing multiple positions, guard, tackle, tight end. It's not as easy as it looks. He is an accountable player, goes out there and gets his job done and works his butt off. I respect him a lot.

"He is fooNo players listedll smart. That is the good thing about him. That is why he can play multiple positions. He locks in and gets his guy. There are different spaces when you play different positions. When you are at tackle there is more space for guys to beat you, when you are at tight end you can really block guys and hone in on them. It's special what he can do. It adds value to him."

If Hubbard lines up at tackle, look for B.J. Finney to once again report as eligible as the blocking tight end, a role that Hubbard normally holds down.

Last week Mike Mitchell was inactive, also because of a hamstring injury. This week Mitchell has been a full participant in practice, and should be good to go on Sunday against the Jaguars. James Harrison, who was also inactive last week battling a bug that hit several players, was also back as a full participant in practice this week.

Sean Davis, Ramon Foster and Stephon Tuitt all missed practice on Wednesday, but were full go the rest of the week. Bud Dupree, Jesse James and Ryan Shazier were limited on Wednesday, but they were full participants the rest of the week as well.

Here is the current injury report for the Steelers' Week 5 game vs. Jacksonville.

Brandon Linder, Jaelen Strong won’t play

The Jaguars announced center Brandon Linder and wide receiver Jaelen Strong did not make the trip with the team to Pittsburgh. They will not play Sunday.

Linder has an illness, forcing the Jaguars to promote offensive lineman Chris Reed from the practice squad as insurance at guard, with Tyler Shatley expected to start at center.

Strong has dealt with a hamstring injury since Week 3. He practiced on a limited basis during the week.

Strong has not played for the Jaguars since being claimed off waivers from the Texans on Sept. 19.

The Jaguars released quarterback Ryan Nassib to make room for Reed on the roster.
