I doubt you'll find one..
Especially with us going to Baltimore next week. We will likely be 2-2 after next Sunday. Circle this Chicago game on the schedule. It's equivalent to the 2016 Eagles game. And I know some folks are saying..."Well we can still make the playoffs".. I've got news for those folks... if we don't finish ahead of NE in the AFC seeding... it won't matter! -

I will take you up on this.
Exactly one year ago we were 2-0 and lost 34-3.
I said back then when this board was in a total uproar that there was no need to panic.
And you know what I was right Squid as this team made quite the run deep into the playoffs and that week 3 loss was not at all indicative of what this team would become.
Heck the last time we won the SB we had a road loss as week 3 favorites.
So I aint gonna panic over this.sigpic
In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Captain.. I'm thinking of a famous quote..."Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it"... or something like that. It doesn't matter if this team goes on a run. If we go to NE in the playoffs... we will have the same result.I will take you up on this.

And I just "remembered history" for you in recalling that week three losses mean jack squat and people panic every year like it means something.
History shows we can AND HAVE overcome these loses.
This loss has zip to do with our "history" with the Pats.
But you know what does?
We addressed our horrid secondary that got torched by Mr LaCrosse. We are playing tighter man defense. Our pass rush is greatly improved.
On offense we have more than just Brown as a weapon.
Today we got "run" over just like we did by Jay Ajayi last season which also was meaningless to the team we became.
The Pats arent beating us that way!!!
We are in fact learning from history, I suggest that fans who think our season is done are the ones who arent learning from history.sigpic

My point being... we pissed away an opportunity to stay ahead of the pats today. If we go to NE in the playoffs, we will lose again. Write it down. And I just "remembered history" for you in recalling that week three losses mean jack squat and people panic every year like it means something.

Dont worry Slapstick,Ovi and felt will all be here to tell us how we're not fans after this abysmal loss.
Felt will convince us that Mitchell is a solid safety even though he continues to take bad angles and continues to dive at players' feet.
We will be reminded how it's really a great idea to go 5 wide especially at the goal line and confuse opposing defenses.
We will be told to be patient while Bell continues to dance around and then run out of bounds on a swing pass 5 yards short of a first down.
Hey, we can't win them all right?

the board cheerleaders will try to stifle any criticisms by accusing people of not being real fans by whining and crying, when its pretty obvious the team has looked very pedestrian to this point and thats being generous. these are the games that cost you 1st round byes and home playoff games and frustrate people
the schedule was set up for a hot start and dropping this type of game is borderline inexcusable. cue the no bad teams mantraComment

Well today wasn't an abysmal loss. It was a close hard fought game. You want to see abysmal look at the Ravens vs the Jags.Comment
