Markus Wheaton, who missed the first two games with a broken left pinkie finger, is on track to play this week.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I have no issue with playing the younger guys to get them ready for later in the season. James is a professional. I just hope he doesn't take it personally.
It's gotta be a bit tough for JH. He busted his behind getting himself ready for the season and now is only a spectator. But, he really has nothing more to prove to the team or fans. Just be ready when called upon.

I hope Deebo is fuming over not playing so when we put him in when we need him, he's got something to prove. Chick seems to be playing well anyway, so why not let him gain some experience to make us better all around.

It'd be cool if we could rotate players once we're playing NE / KC / Baltimore in the playoffs. Especially NE because Biily B said he took advantage of us because we don't rotate guys in and out of the lineup at all. All around we need better 2nd string players and it feels like the quality of the depth is better than it's been in the recent past.

Harrison wants another ring. Being the smart veteran that he is he knows he's going to get his chances. I am glad they are saving him for December and January. I think that is better for the team to have the trump card. Great problem to have IMO.

I'm hoping adjustments and changes are made.
If the coaching staff was satisfied then no need to watch film or try and improve right?
I don't think anyone believes we are THAT good right now.

Hargrave was disruptive at the end of last season too. But I totally agree with you about going after Glennon. Let's start strong and fast and take away any thoughts in their minds about winning this game. And since T.J. has a groin tweek, let Harrison gets some work this week.

As long as we win...fine. Even if we play down to them and it is a close game...as long as we win. But, if we get caught with our pants down...we could get a L. So just the complacensy worries me.
If this team comes out complacent, that lays at the feet of the coach. It's up to the coach and his staff to make sure this team doesn't look past the Bears to Rat bird week.

Coaches job is to make sure the team is prepared by game planning, he's not responsible for getting millionaire professionals mentally up for playing a game. If the players show up and aren't in the right frame of mind then that's on them.

I agree to a certain extent...and yet Belicheck's players always seem to have the right frame of mind going into games with bottom feeders (which is most of there division). There are subtle things a HC can do during the week that can influence a player on Sunday. Belichick is known for stopping players in the hallway, on the field and asking a player of how he will play in a certain opponent situation. Even Brady is immune from this.

Just last season the Patriots lost to the Bills 16-0, in 2015 2 bad losses at the end of the year to the Dolphins and Jets, in 2014 losses to the Bills and Dolphins and a blowout loss to a 9-7 Chiefs team. The Patriots lose to inferior opponents too, they just haven't felt a lot of pressure because their division has been bad for so long.

As far as asking players situations, so what, any player can answer situational football questions and I'm not sure that Mike Tomlin doesn't do something similar. The Coaches job is physical preparation such as: Game planning, conditioning, and personnel. The Players job is to show up ready to play, this is the pros, it's what they are paid to do.

I think people make too much out of losses, I don't think it has anything to do with not being ready. I think sometimes the other team plays good and you just get beat.

Despite the fact that that entire league is structured to create parity, some people don't want to hear it...

ehh, I think this is mostly Brady. Dude is always trying to hang 50 on opponents.

The Pats lose to the Bills and Dolphins from time to time.. we just don't care enough to point it out every time it happens.
