I think the one PAT that Boswell missed this preseason was due to a bad snap. I believe Tomlin said going into the final Carolina game that Holba was more accurate with his snaps but Canaday had more velocity on his snaps, so the punter/kicker could get the kick off sooner.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

but, but, but it was a brilliant draft pick because he would be a starter for 10 years

Our incompetent coaches obviously have no idea how to get the best out of superior talent.

I will admit I was wrong....on Holba. I remember defending the pick in the 6th round. While others here said it was a stupid selection in round 6. Said it would have been better to wait til round 7. Or sign one as a free agent. I disagreed. And as it turns out...I was wrong.

                      Yup. Me too. It happens...

I understood the pick because of Warren's injury and subsequent retirement...sometimes, players get beat out...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

looks like maybe half dozen or so more cuts to make the 53.

Ayers has said he won't sign onto the practice squad. Maybe if he gets desperate enough he will, but I doubt it.

That P.S. spot that Ayers thinks he's somehow too good for will go to a better WR prospect in Marcus Tucker.

You and David Johnson. There are a lot of unspectacular players in the NFL who do the grunt work and are at the bottom of the roster, but I never could see
why you were so set on condemning David Johnson. He played 7 years in the NFL, which is about 7 years longer than you thought he would. He is still probably
the best blocker that the TE position had, and had a little versatility to line up in the backfield. Grimble has not done very much special either.
So, David Johnson is now gone and I hope you and some others pop a bottle of champagne and have a toast.
