I hope he sits out. I'm ready to move on. He is the best in the league but his inability to stay healthy for and throughout the playoffs is a huge problem. He has every right to do what he's doing but I don't see how he can continue to ignore his team mates.
Yes, moving on from LB does sound ridiculous to me, but so does turning down a very lucrative contract in the name of bringing back position value.2019 Mock

You won't be hoping he sits out on 12/17 when we play the * and in the playoffs if we make it when we'll meet them again.I hope he sits out. I'm ready to move on. I didn't say that. However... I am very well against feeding him 36 times against $hit teams... just because they can. They have as many weapons on the offensive side as any team in the league. Continuing to "Run the wheels off" is foolish...and unnecessary.Comment

Realistically he cant sit out because we still own his rights. He has to play even if not a full seasonI hope he sits out. I'm ready to move on. Why do people still assume there are $hit teams in the NFL? There are upsets every week. Any game can be lost. Hopefully, the team doesn't take wins for granted...Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.Comment

there's a lot of space between "run the wheels off" and "save him for the playoffs"
it's like taking Ben out for the last few series in a blowout. Is there really a reason to "pass until his arm falls off?" in those instances?
it sounds like folks on here are mad at Bell so they want to punish him by running him into the ground. How has that worked out for any RB we've had since Tomlin made that statement?Steelers 27

You really think we are "Taking wins for granted" if we choose not to "Run the wheels off" of Bell? Really?Comment

do we take them for granted when Landry comes in for the last few series once a game is decided? No one is saying rest Bell in the first quarter or in a game that's close but damn near every other team in the NFL shares touches at the RB position for a reason. It's a long season. The old strategy hasn't worked so why the hell would we continue doing it? We drafted a young tank in Conner and I expect him to get a series or 2 every game once he shows what he can do.Steelers 27

This is what I am saying...there's got to be some form of "Happy medium". We've got more weapons on Offense then just about any team in the league. It's up to Haley to find ways of spreading it around. No way should we have to get Bell 30 plus touches to win ballgames, regardless of competition. We spend a fairly high pick on Conner. That kid is talented, and needs to see the field this year.there's a lot of space between "run the wheels off" and "save him for the playoffs"

No, but I don't think that there are teams in the NFL that deserve less than the Steelers' best. Every year, people on this board are crying, "Oh, if we had only won one or two more games, we would have HFA!" Well, I would prefer not
to have to read that this season...that is why I hope the team doesn't take wins for granted...I don't particularly care whether or not fans do...Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.Comment

Assuming all of our weapons can stay healthy and available...we have all these weapons, but almost never on the field at the same time...hopefully, things will be different this year with Connor, but I certainly didn't want Fitz Toussaint "getting a series or two" last season...if the passing games doesn't have to lean so heavily on Bell, his touches will go down naturally...if our weapons are healthy and available, Bell's contract will become a moot point, because there will actually be more weapons as opposed to last year...if we can't keep all of our vaunted players on the field, then Bell will have his wheels run off, much like last season...This is what I am saying...there's got to be some form of "Happy medium". Hopefully, this season will prove to Bell that he isn't as valuable as he thinks...then, hopefully, sanity can prevail...Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.Comment
