Mike Tomlin Flips Out On Roger Goodell For Martavis Bryant "Blackballing" And Not Being Reinstated
Le'Veon Bell and Martavis Bryant's situations have been two of the main narratives during the Steelers' 2017 training camp.
Mike Tomlin again fielded questions about both players during Wednesday's press conference, as Pittsburgh continues to be without both players three weeks into camp.
As he stated three weeks ago, Tomlin has continued to communicate with Bell on a frequent basis but does not know when his star running back will return to the team. Bell has not stepped foot in Latrobe after declining a reported five-year, $60 million deal back in July. Bell has been training on his own in South Florida since the start of training camp.
Mike Tomlin has no idea when Martavis Bryant and Le'Veon Bell will be back on the field for the Steelers. Some reports from NFL insiders say there is no set time for return. "I think they are seriously playing games with us. Roger Goodell has no right. I'm beyond pissed. Quote me on that".
With regard to Bryant, Tomlin said that he also doesn't know when he can expect his receiver to be back on the field. Bryant has not practiced with the team and is not permitted to play in Friday's preseason game against the Giants as part of his conditional reinstatement.
While he presented a calm, cool demeanor when discussing both players, Tomlin is clearly chomping at the bit to get Bell, Bryant and his slew of injured players back on the field as soon as possible, as the Steelers look to get their entire team in tact as training camp marches on.
"There is big time urgency," Tomlin said. "We need guys to get on the field. Guys need to get on the field
