congrats to your mom for having the knowledge and strength to remove her kids from a bad environment.i guess that makes me an exception to the rule, then. And i know a lot of us... Frankly, i'd be curious how those stats divided by environment.
I could just as easily say kids do better in the suburbs than in the ghetto (THIS, i would imagine would be more cause-effect, than single parent home stat - which i would imagine is slanted significantly in less affluent neighborhoods).
I grew up in a single parent home - we started in the ghetto. had we continued to live there, i imagine i'd be much like many of my friends from that neighborhood - probably in jail or dead. mom moved us to the burbs. different surroundings, different results in my estimation. that was HER plan.
i think the "single parent" stat is skewed, personally. She remarried when i was a teen. but, by then, i was pretty much the person i was going to be (with the morals). my step-dad to this day says i'm not normal and he never understood it.steelers = 3 ring circus with tomlin being the head clownComment

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment

I'm from Western, Pa.. 15 minutes north of the Burgh. Plenty of people in my area were raised in single parent households due to divorce when the Mills closed. Most of us turned out fine.i guess that makes me an exception to the rule, then. And i know a lot of us... Frankly, i'd be curious how those stats divided by environment.

There are a ton of factors and layers to these stats. I think 2 parent households are great when both are engaged and active in the child's life. However, I have seen my fair share of 2 parent households that were terrible due to drinking, unemployment, etc...Steelers 27

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

AKA a fiscal conservative (I dont pay taxes for your mistake) and social liberal (none of my business otherwise).i believe he's saying it's AB's business and not yours. And as long as it doesn't impact the rest of us (i.e., the dad is involved and providing for his kid), it's not of ours, either.
I don't care who he (or you) sleep(s) with, male or female, as long as I don't pay taxes for your mistakes.
The same goes for pretty much everything else a person does.
If it's what you as an adult want to do, and it's not hurting anyone, have at it.
if you wanna identify as a woman, it's none of my business.
I don't care if you're an alcoholic, as long as you get a DD and don't drink and drive.
I don't care if you're a crackhead, as long as you don't go robbing/shooting someone.
You and the misses are swingers? fine, as long as you aren't spreading disease.
All of this is none of your (or my) business.
Sorry to bring political tags in, but I was beginning to wonder if we're a vanishing breed..Comment
