Name your surprise break out player of the year

Jesse James. Because he has so many talented receivers around him he'll be left uncovered or loosely covered. I can see big things out of him this year. At the very least he drops the label of being only a blocking TE. 65-80 catches for 800-1200 yards receiving.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if this happened.

I think both Sean Davis and Dupree blow up this year.
        Trolls are people too.

On D I'd feel like I'm cheating by saying Dupree because I don't think he'd be a surprise. How about a DB like Burns or Cockrell? I think that a better pass rush is going to force more bad throws and these guys will be waiting for the result. As long as they don't have Ike hands then I can see a DB with 5+ ints.

On O I will go with Ju Ju. I don't think he puts up huge numbers, but I bet he is the guy who becomes the go to 3rd down conversion. Mister 7 yards on 3rd and 6. A tough guy for those needed yards to keep a drive going. In all the talk of "who is going to be the #3" I don't know that he wins the third receiver job, but it would not shock me if he is that guy more often than not on third downs.

I also think Jesse James will put up very nice numbers in this offense. Won't be League leading or Team leading. But I think it will be comparable to Heath Millers 3rd year. James is on a similar career arc. Gonna say 50-60 catches, 6-8 TDs with 600-650yrds. This result would be a nice year for even Heath.

As far as defense, I will go with Sean Davis. He takes over in the secondary, leading the team with 4-6 picks, with one going to the house.

But, again, it could be 2-3 other players from either side of the ball, each.

Jesse James will be fine but I think that Xavier Grimble will be a surprise contributor.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

I've been a huge supporter of Jesse James so I wouldn't be surprised but I definitely think he will surprise a lot of skeptics.

My surprise this year will be Golson on defense and Sammie Coates on offense. I'm not big on Coates but I think he may be up to the challenge this year.

If he hadn't broken his fingers, Coates may have been the surprise break out player last year...in the first five games, he caught some long gainers and even nice red zone TD vs the Jets...between those games and his playoff appearance in 2015, I have high hopes for him...hopefully, he can come back from the injury and improve...he is another young player with great character and work ethic...I hope he pans out...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Not sure a 1st Round pick can be a "surprise" but I have a feeling that TJ Watt will have a very good season and prove to be a worthy successor to JH. I don't think we will have to talk about 3-4 years of learning the position.

I also think Cameron Sutton will be challenging for playing time by mid season
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"

                          How about Jordan Dangerfield?

If he does that, it will be at the expense of Juju. People project him the receiving role of a tight end. There are only so many passes to go around. I will be even more upset with the pick

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:
