QB in the 5th or 6th

Actually I am surprised this was not posted early this morning but..I heard that Dale Lolley said that he has heard that the Steelers loved Josh Dobbs, and had decided since Thursday to target him on Day 3 of the draft. Which would explain why we did not take one yesterday. He said that Colbert feels that the way the draft played out that Dobbs will be there for them today. Now...does that mean anything ? Could it just be another writer with false Info ?...could this be just smoke, to distract teams away from another QB prospect ? ( Peterman, Kaaya ) Well I guess we shall see. But Dale insisted that his source is accurate and that Josh Dobbs is the guy that Tomlin and Colbert really like.

Think about it for a minute. Why would we sign Landry if we were going to draft a QB in the draft?

Dobbs is smart, an aerospace engineering major, but they say he hasn't really improved as a QB the way he should have over his college career. Apparently, not a real good decision-maker. Maybe coaching could fix some of that, but the Steelers aren't really known as a team who develops QBs.

I agree with Pete, they re-signed Landry; I just don't see the pressing need for another backup.

The pressing need for another backup QB is precisely because Landry is the backup QB. That guy sucks.

Not to mention that Landry was not re-signed to a 6 year, 80 million dollar deal. He signed a 2 year NON Guaranteed deal that pays him 2.2 million this year, and in 2018 IF they wanna option it. Not exactly a great endorsment from Pittsburgh to Jones.
