Can't help but think this would have made me much happier

    1-Watt
    2-Moreau
    3-Perine
    4-Dede Westbrook

    Same positions. Different approach

A number of combinations that would've been possible that I like better than what the Steelers ended up with. But, it's done now ... on to day 3. Remember, players like Tom Brady and Antonio Brown were picked in late rounds, and players like James Harrison were UDFAs.

Why do you TORTURE us with what "could" have been?

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Liked Moreau as well but that injury seriously pushed him down(peck). Perine to me should go round 4 and is solid but imho Conner is better and upside is much better.

Not sure how a guy who's cancer could come back any day has a better upside. I love having Connor as a Steeler but Perine is simply a better player.

Any player could get cancer...or diabetes...or a degenerative joint condition...

I don't view Perrine as a better player, but that's just me.
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

That is true, any player could. But one who already has had it has their chances grow exponentially. Prior to the cancer I'd say they were very comparable. Hopefully James can get back to that pre-condition level. No one will be rooting harder for him than me.

Don't forget he also had an ACL... that tends to take something away from a guy as well... upside could be very good.

Walter Payton had 2 of them at Grambling. Did it really take anything away from him ?

Who has a better upside Bryant or Rogers? Rogers because Bryant could be suspended any day? I don't see it that way. Steeler coaches n staff chose Conner over Perine and it doesn't mean they believe one is good n other isn't a few of us on this board discussed Perine and most of us liked him n still like him just not as much. He'll likely go here in the 4th so the talent level is close sometimes it's all in the eye of the beholder.

The two situations are apples and oranges. To say that cancer did not have an impact on Connor's on field would be false. Hopefully he can regain his pre-condition form. That's a risk to take when you have a guy like Perine on the board.
