    James Conner

Great pick...and the explanation given makes sense for the erratic speed on film.

His tape looked pretty good. Right spot for a #2 RB

It depended on which tape you were looking at. I made an addendum to my original analysis on Conner. I seen enough film where he looked sluggish, unable to attack the tackles, little burst. I later revisited him and seen more game tape and seen a completely different back. He ran with burst, better speed, and obviously the guy runs with authority. The explanation that it took time for him to get his burst back after the cancer diagnosis...makes complete sense.

He has the exact opposite attitude of Blount (inspirational leader as opposed to a sucker punching punk quitter) but has a similar bruising style and nose for the end zone.

As for the dope, I believe some doctors prescribe MJ while patients are going through chemotherapy, but thankfully Conner is beyond that stage already.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I hope Conner becomes what Blount wasn't for the Steelers. A bulldozer, our version of TJ Duckett back in the day

You know I was all in for this guy after watching the Clemson game. Glad we got a solid player and a great kid.

Since the two teams share a facility and see each other nearly every day during the season, they know each other as men...and Colbert and Tomlin determined that adding Conner to our team would be beneficial for all involved.

YES! I hope he shows enough that Bell can be spelled more. I liked DW. He did have some great games for the Steelers. But he was not doing enough to take Bell off the field for him IMO. And he had some injuries. If they plan to sign Bell long term they need to not run his wheels off! And I would hope Bell is wise enough to know he just can not handle
that high of a work load. Proven last 2 seasons.

I thought Connor looked a step slower to start the season - but holy cow, coming back from cancer is a pretty good excuse. He was markedly better, stronger and faster by the end. Cue Steve Austin music please.

I think it's a great pick. Awesome talent, good character and as someone who has also brushed death young - it alters your perspective on life. Each day, each opportunity is precious and not to be wasted. I have to believe Connor understands that.
